Prophesee Named Startup Technology of the Year at Global CEO Summit in China
Prophesee had the opportunity to participate in the Global CEO Summit in Shenzhen, China, put on by AspenCore Group (publishers of EE Times and EDN). This conference focused on important technology trends in IoT, artificial intelligence, mobile internet and big data – with a particular focus on the China market.
Prophesee CEO Luca Verre gave a talk about how artificial intelligence can be used to address the challenges in the volume of data being collected by IoT-enabled devices and systems.
Almost all the visual data acquired and processed by AI today is useless, redundant and inefficient because we still capture images as we did 150 years ago — one by one, at a pre-defined rhythm, regardless of scene dynamics. This data glut clogs the process and makes AI expensive, exclusive and sluggish.
Event-based neuromorphic vision technology can solve these problems and unlock AI’s full potential.
The conference closed with the World Electronics Achievements Awards ceremony and we were pleased to be named the winner of the Startup Technology of the Year Award for 2018.
